 Custom Group Travel

Partnering with select schools and educators, Smithsonian Student Adventures is pleased to offer customized travel itineraries to a variety of destinations around the world. In order to provide participants with a unique, adventurous, and safe experience, our Directors will work closely with you to design every aspect of your group travel. We will tailor the program and itinerary to meet your needs, interests and classroom goals.

Our Support

Whether you teach language, science, photography, or history, we can tailor an itinerary to fit your interests and educational goals. We make the planning process as easy and hassle-free as possible for group organizers by helping guide the recruitment process, providing promotional materials, and talking directly with interested families to answer any questions or concerns. During your travel program, your SSA Program Leader handles all logistical concerns including meals, transportation, accommodations, and group activities, leaving you and your students to enjoy every moment.

Common features of a typical custom program include:

Group size: 10-20 student travelers.

A minimum of one group organizer, whose trip is free, including the international airfare.

Global Speaker Series

As part of our local outreach effort to inspire students to become global leaders, SSA is pleased to offer educators, families, and private groups the opportunity to have a Smithsonian Student Adventures representative speak directly to your students or group members regarding the value of community service, language immersion, conservation work, and international travel. Scheduling a speaker for a day is completely free for the school or organization, and the presentation is educational, inspiring, and most importantly, FUN, for everyone involved. SSA can cater the presentation to be anywhere from 10-60 minutes long, and will combine discussion and travel stories, showing engaging videos to keep the session as interactive as possible. Please see the information below, and complete this form in order to schedule a virtual, DVD or live presentation today!

 Referral Program

SSA relies on our community to help spread the word about our unique philosophy toward travel. If you have a friend, colleague, student, or acquaintance who you think might benefit from learning about our programs, let them (and us!) know. Not only will they be grateful that you told them about your life-changing adventure, but you will also earn a referral bonus.
